Hobie didn’t set out to become an OCR legend. He’s a father and husband first and works an unassuming job repairing air conditioners. Of course, Hobie always dreamed of becoming a professional athlete and perhaps competing in an Olympic marathon someday, but he never loved the spotlight. So, Hobie quietly ran the wilds of Idaho, Wyoming, and Utah, tackling marathons while working full-time and raising a family. To push himself to go faster, he’d train while wearing a 40 pound vest, doing knee touches, and following brutal strength training circuits.
